Kyle Fowlie was born in a quiet town in Rockland Maine and went into the local school system there. He quite quickly became the go-to man for household tech-services when other family members had questions. It was during these early years that Kyle realized his appreciation and willingness to work with technology. With a passion for video games, Kyle took on many personal projects 'modding' the internal code of games and even uploaded his best work online. He also found a passion for stick-figure animation and used flash for a brief time. Kyle is currently a fourth-year student at the University of Maine majoring in New Media with a Computer Science minor. He started his college expedition as a computer science major but quickly realized that the program was not for him. He then chose to pursue his artistic side and join the ranks of New Media. Here, his little experience in program development tied in nicely with the teachings of New Media. Currently, he enjoys the process of coding, web-page design and graphic design and hopes to finish the major at the end of his fifth year.
My creative construction is driven primarily by my work ethic. I strive to produce content that I am proud to call my own. This, along with my fascination for anything humorous has inspired me to create a plethora of animations throughout my high-school career. It is for this reason that I am interested in learning new methods of animation. At some point in my career I would like to design with clay-mation. However, my main goal currently is to grasp the concept of New Media and shake the most out of it that I can. Hopefully, after the learning process I will be better prepared to develop projects designed for the future.
